Shipping a container to Malawi
- August 30, 2019 - This week several volunteers and board members of the foundation have worked hard to prepare the container with medical equipment, aids, dental equipment and inventory destined for various clinics in Malawi for shipping to Lilongwe (capital Malawi).
On the grounds of J.A. NAP Int. Transport BV in Ede, everything is packed, labeled and sorted by destination. A lot of work, we are very grateful with the cooperation of NAP Transport. The container has been allowed to stand here for months, they load the container for us and bring it to the port in Rotterdam early next week. On Saturday 7 September, the container will leave the port for Malawi. The expected arrival of the container in Lilongwe is on Sunday 13 October. Around this time, Marleen Luiten and Jan Meijering, among others, will also be present in Malawi to steer the container project in the right direction. The Home Based Care (home care) project in Kakwale will also start!
